Fencing


About:

FFC is a fencing club aimed at bringing the sport of fencing to Flinders University. If you’ve always wanted to try fencing or have been doing it for years, come along and join us. No gear necessary, we’ll provide you with everything you need. We train primarily in Foil but fence Epee and Sabre as well

Aims:

To promote the Olympic sport of fencing at Flinders University

To promote the ideals of sportsmanship and camaraderie through fencing

To improve the health and fitness of students through fencing

To provide a new sport to the Flinders University community, adding to its variety and diversity

Activities:

Regular practice sessions consisting of a game, strengthening exercises, footwork (the practice of moving the correct way in fencing), bladework (the practice of attacking and defending with the blade) and fencing bouts.


Membership Fees:

Flinders University Student – $30/Semester

General Public – $30/Semester


Training Details:

Tuesdays: 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Saturdays: 12pm – 1pm
