ELITE ATHLETE EDUCATION SEMINAR SERIES

Flinders University Sport and Fitness is pleased to be working with Sam Elliott to deliver a 3-part seminar series (1 hour per seminar) covering (1) Confidence, Imagery and Performance, (2) Managing a dual career as a student-athlete, and (3) Athlete resilience. These form the basis of an Athlete Education program that consolidates efforts to develop and support emerging, elite and high performing athletes of Flinders University.  The program identifying the EAFU recognised athletes, holders of Flinders University sporting scholarships and Australian University Games athletes as its targeted audience.

Sam is a lecturer in Sport, Health and Physical Activity in the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work. He coordinates and teaches across a range of topics in psychology, sociology and pedagogy as they relate to sport performance and sport coaching. Sam is an active member of the SHAPE Research Centre and invited reviewer for ten international journals. Sam is a popular invited speaker with local, state and national sporting groups.
