This year, the Flinders Cup will be held virtually via Strava (mobile phone app), allowing participants to complete their laps at any time during the working week.
📅DATES: Monday 10th August – Friday 19th September (6 weeks of activity)
👣HOW FAR: Run or walk 1, 2 or 3 laps of the 1.4km loop at any stage during the working week.
📌NOTE: The course will be staffed and clearly marked using signage and cones between 11am-1pm each Tuesday for those who are new to the event or unfamiliar with the course from last year.
The Flinders Cup is designed to be a fun and supportive event aimed to encourage people of all backgrounds and fitness levels to participate in physical activity.
Participants will be required to log their walks or runs on Strava each week. At the end of the week, staff will record individual times to calculate results and improvements for that week. These results we be communicated via weekly email.
At the completion of final round there will be a celebratory awards ceremony where prize winners will be announced.
👉To assist in covering costs of the event, there is a once-off $10 entry fee per person, payable in cash on Tuesday 11th August at the event, or via EFTPOS at Flinders University Sport and Fitness reception at any time in the lead up to the event.
